DIY Furniture Wax

DIY Furniture Wax

I've been promising to do this little 'How to' for months now, but I keep forgetting, I'm sorry for the baby brain. I needed to top up my own jar this morning, so thought I better finally get around to writing this post too.

This wax is so gentle and so natural that you can use it on the skin too! Especially in this cold weather it is a fantastic barrier for dry hands. Try it! You're welcome.

☆ How to make the wax:

- Start by warming the beeswax pellets gently. You can do this in a bain marie, by placing a small pan of water on the stove to boil, with a glass bowl in the top. Heat the beeswax in the bowl until it starts to soften.
* If you don't have a bowl suitable, or you are in a hurry, you can do this in the microwave in 20-30 second blasts.

- As the beeswax softens add in the grapeseed oil and coconut oil. Heat and gently stir until all the pellets have melted.

- Pour into your jar and leave to cool for a couple of minutes before adding your essential oils. This stops you from losing that amazing aroma in the steam of the cooling wax blend.

- Once cooled, label your wax and keep it somewhere to use on anything you please.

☆ To use - Using a dry cloth remove a little from the jar, apply to your surface and rub in well. That's it, super simple.

Happy toxic free cleaning. Enjoy.
